  • NJHS Inductions: We will hold our re-scheduled ceremony for 7th graders selected for induction on Friday at 8:15AM in the auditorium.
  • Hoops For Hearts: This week kicks off our Hoops for Hearts program in PE! Students will be learning how to take care of their hearts while raising money to help others and HAVE SOME FUN! Click this link to donate. Let’s come together to help others!!
  • Sycamore Creek Ribbon Cutting: This Thursday from 5:30-7:30pm SCES will have an art show, ribbon cutting ceremony for their new turf field and also a look at the new Tile Wall. Former SCES students are welcome to come back and see the new field and your tile wall for the now 6th graders who weren’t able to see their tiles last year. The ribbon cutting is scheduled for 6PM.
  • Carpool: Thank you so much for your understanding and cooperation. A gentle reminder to please NOT drop your students off in the parking lot during morning arrival. We had a student almost get hit last week. Please pull all the way up to curb in front of the school and let them out there. In the afternoons please continue to pull all the way up so we can get as many cars along the curb as possible. That makes for a more efficient carpool. And thanks for keeping that middle turn lane open on Leesville Church Road.
  • From Our Athletic Director, Mr. Adams:
    • Parents, we have wrapped up a successful 2021-2022 Athletic Season. I would like to thank all of you for your support this year.  Not every AD has a parent base willing to work and support their athletic programs like we do. I am lucky to have you.  It was awesome to have a normal spring banquet this past Wednesday evening.  Mrs. Cresimore will be looking for new committee members for next year, so please volunteer.
    • If your student is interested in playing football for Leesville Road HS this fall there is an important informational meeting on Tuesday May 24 at 6pm in the Leesville HS Gym.
    • Emerge Ortho is conducting their $10 Sports Physical on May 25th 6-8pm at 3100 Duraleigh Rd
    • Keep in touch with my social media accounts for DragonFLy updates and when to begin loading your information for the new season, Fall Sports Kick-off  meeting etc.
  • EOG Remediation and Re-administration: The last two days of this school year are being repurposed for all year-round schools in the district. As such, only students who qualify and choose to participate in remediation/re-administration of the EOGs will be attending the final two days. Please see the attachment for more info.
  • Yearbook: The cost is $45, and there are a limited number available. Go to yearbookordercenter.com and enter order number 21759.
  • Teacher Recognition Program:  Is there a teacher or staff member you would like to celebrate for doing a terrific job? Has someone been consistently outstanding or maybe gone above-and-beyond recently for your student/family? If so, I encourage you to nominate that person for our new Top Gun Staff Member of the Month award. There aren’t any firm rules or requirements to nominate someone for recognition. The point of this is to recognize a teacher or two each month who was nominated by a student or parent. The teacher(s) would be recognized in front of their peers at the next staff meeting. In order to nominate someone, just fill out this form and make sure to clearly explain why you think they are deserving of this recognition.
