Hello Pine Hollow Middle School community. This is your principal, Andrew Livengood, with the weekly message for January 19.

    • Report Cards: Were distributed to students on Tracks 1-3 on Friday. Track 4 students will receive theirs when they return. Please make sure you ask your child for his/her report card and contact their teacher(s) if there are any questions or concerns.
    • MLK Day: School will be closed tomorrow in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday.
    • All-District Band: Congratulations to 8-3 students Jack Martin and CJ Carson who auditioned and were accepted to the 2020 All-District Band! Jack is 4th chair trombone and CJ is 4th chair trumpet, both in the Concert Band. Way to go guys!!
    • Benchmark Assessments: To assess our students’ progress in ELA and Math, all students will take a mid-year “benchmark” assessment at some point between now and the middle of February. In order to minimize the impact this has on instruction and our daily schedule, each individual team has been given flexibility in deciding when their students will take these assessments. These assessments will provide teachers with valuable information about where students are in their learning journey at the halfway point of the year. They will then be able to use this information, along with the classwork students have been producing all year long, to determine the areas in which students might benefit from some extra support or enrichment between now and the end of the year. These assessments are formative and will not impact your child’s academic grade in any way. If you have any questions regarding the benchmark assessments, please contact your child’s ELA or Math teacher.
