Hello Pine Hollow Middle School community. This is your principal, Andrew Livengood, with the weekly message for May 16.

  • This Week:  Wednesday is an Asynchronous/Remote Learning day for all students.
  • Track Assignments: Parents have until 11:59PM tomorrow night (Monday the 17th) to complete the survey regarding track assignments for the upcoming school year. As was shared in last week’s message, we are collapsing Track 2. Track 2 parents can let us know their preferred track by completing this survey. Parents on Track 1, 3 or 4 can also submit a track change request by completing this survey. Here is the link: https://forms.gle/mZyXDBUN1LHNuKzR6

If you changed your mind and do want your student to test now, please contact our Test Coordinator, Ms. Stern, at jstern@wcpss.net so she can add their name to the rosters and make sure we have materials for them.
      • Similarly, if you completed the survey indicating your student will test and now you have decided not to send them to school to test, please let Ms. Stern know so that we can remove your student from the testing rosters.
      • VA students must be at school no later than 8:05 each day.

  • Signing Students Out: If you need to sign your student out in the afternoon, please make sure you do so before 2:30.
  • Dress Code: Now that the weather has warmed up, we are starting to notice some issues with dress code. Please take a look at the WCPSS dress code (https://www.wcpss.net/domain/50) and help us by ensuring your student’s attire is in line with this policy.
  • New Teacher Recognition Program: Is there a teacher or staff member you would like to celebrate for doing a terrific job? Has someone been consistently outstanding or maybe gone above-and-beyond recently for your student/family? If so, I encourage you to nominate that person for our new Top Gun Staff Member of the Month award. There aren’t any firm rules or requirements to nominate someone for recognition. The point of this is to recognize a teacher or two each month who was nominated by a student or parent. The teacher(s) would be recognized in front of their peers at the next staff meeting. In order to nominate someone, just fill out this form and make sure to clearly explain why you think they are deserving of this recognition.
  • Yearbooks: The deadline to purchase a yearbook is fast approaching. Go to yearbookordercenter.com and enter code 21759 to reserve your copy.
  • Have a great week and remember, at Pine Hollow Middle School the sky is the limit!

Sincerely,

Andrew Livengood, Principal
