Dear Families,

We had an amazing first week of school! It was so exciting to see all of our returning students and to meet our new students. We are so EXCITED about helping students “Knock It Out of the Park” this school year. Below are a few reminders and things to note.

Please note about a calendar change. We are moving the Open House on the 15th of September to a new date TBD.

School Photos- Friday

Students will have Fall pictures taken on Friday, September 9th. Envelopes went home with students today.

Student Pick Up and Drop Off Reminders

Carpool students- must be picked up in the carpool lane.

  • Parents should make sure car seats are on the passenger side.

  • Please work with your students to teach them how to buckle and to unbuckle.

  • Please also work to help them remember their carpool number.

Walker Students- MUST BE WALKERS! Parents may not drive up to pick up walkers. This is only for [arents who are actually walking. We do not assign carpool status, this is assigned based on our permanent address in WCPSS.

Bus Students-If you are still needing a bus service to the school, please use this link to register your child for the bus. Please note that it may take up to 2 weeks to hear from WCPSS Transportation.

Student Check Out- If you are checking out your student early, this must be done prior to 3:15. Anyone coming after 3:15 will have to go through carpool.

Transportation Changes- If your child is changing transportation methods, please email the teacher as soon as possible. Students can NOT be changed to walkers if they are not registered walker.

Medication-

Please note that students may not carry any medication to or from school. All medication (including sunscreen) requires 1702 signed by the doctor. All medications and forms need to be brought to the office by a guardian in their original box.

Talking Points-

If you have not already, please download the Talking Points App. This is how you will best be able to reach your child’s teacher.
