Bulldog Bulletin for the Week of 6/15/20
Thank you
I just want to take a minute to say how grateful I am to have joined the Briarcliff School Community. I appreciate all of the hard work you have all had to do to support learning for your child this school year alongside the staff. I remain hopeful that we will all stay healthy this summer. I am also hopeful that we can continue to look at the work we have done that has been effective and adjust and change what is not working for our students and families. I will continue to keep you informed throughout the summer as we get updates. Those updates will include supply lists, Kindergarten Orientation, and Meet the Teacher. Thank you again for being such an amazing community. We will see you all in the fall.
PICK UP ITEMS
Last chance to pick up items will be Monday from 9-3pm. All items left after that will be recycled in order for us to get ready to have our building cleaned and floors waxed.
Summer Reading Opportunity
Hi Briarcliff Families!
We have an optional summer reading program that Mrs. Cammie Viverette is going to do for our students. Everyone is invited to participate. There will be google meets throughout the summer to chat about our progress and hear about the awesome books kids are reading! All I need from you is an email sent to cviverette@wcpss.net saying that you would like your kids to participate with a valid email address, names and ages of the kids that want to do the reading program and I will take it from there. Any questions or concerns email me at cviverette@wcpss.net

Meet with Mrs. Nelson and the PTA
I am sad that I have not had a chance to see students and parents in person as we leave the 19-20 school year. To answer questions and share information I will be having a principal session on Monday, June 15th at 9:00 am or 7:00 pm. Here are the links:

Applying for federal free or reduced price school meals
We realize that many families’ economic and employment situations have changed during this pandemic. Families can apply at any time for free or reduced price lunch, which may also qualify you for other state and federal benefits.
Kindergarten Registration
It is time to register your Kindergartner for school. If they are turning 5 on or before August 31st please go ahead and get them registered. This helps us prepare for next year. We have information on our website or you can use this link.
