National Walk to School Day

The PTA is going to help promote families utilizing the Annual Walk to School Day on Wednesday, 10/2.  Families will meet at the Big Lots parking lot at 8:30AM to make the walk. Parents MUST accompany their children on the walk.

For families that normally walk to school every day we will have stickers for all students who walk to school that day so they can walk their normal way to school

Coffee and Grounds

Please mark your calendars for Saturday, October 5th from 8:30-12:00 to help clean up the school grounds. Mulch has been ordered and member of the First Baptist Church will be here to help! We will be working on the front of the school. We will have coffee available as you work.

We are in need of pine straw. If you are able to donate bales please sign up here. Thanks for your support!

No Parking on Pond Street

It is imperative that parents stop parking on Pond Street then crossing over to bring students to school. This is NOT a drop off area. Many schools have had parents and students hit by cars in the past few years. If you are a walker, you need to walk your student. If you want to drop off by car then you MUST get in carpool. We are going to have staff outside not allowing parents to park starting Monday.

Health Assessments & Immunization Records

Kindergarten families and families new to North Carolina, please make sure that you have given us the NC Health Assessment from and completed Immunization Records before the 30th day of school.  Mrs. Forman, our school's data manager, has sent reminders to all families missing any forms. The final due date for all records in October 1st.  After that date, students missing any records are required to be excluded from school by North Carolina law.  Thank you for helping us complete this important task and keep our students healthy.
