Also, the district transfer application is open now until March 14.

Save the Date: End of Year Testing Information

We have the dates set for our End of Year EOG/EOC testing.  Please note that there are retest opportunities at the end of the year for students who have passed the class but do not score a level 3 or higher on the EOG/EOC.  Those dates are listed below as well.   

Track 1:

• Tuesday, May 20 - Reading EOG
• Wednesday, May 21 - Math EOG/EOC
• Thursday, May 22 - Science EOG (8th only)
• *Make ups can begin any day after the test is given and we have available staff to administer the test.
• **Retesting Opportunity on May 30 & June 2

Tracks 3 & 4:

• Thursday, June 12 - Begin NC Extend 1 Testing 
• Tuesday, June 17 - Reading EOG
• Wednesday, June 18 - Math EOG/EOC
• Friday, June 20 - Science EOG (8th only)
• *Make ups can begin any day after the test is given and we have available staff to administer the test.
• **Retesting Opportunity on June 27 & June 30

Athletics

We've got two home games next week against West Millbrook. On Monday, our girls' softball throws out their first pitch, and then on Tuesday, our boys' soccer team will kick off their season. Both games start at 4pm and tickets are $6 at the gate or online at GoFan: https://gofan.co/app/school/NC68157

Parking Reminder: Spectators for soccer games and track meets must park along the road between the middle and elementary schools. Please pull off the road as much as possible and walk up to the event. Softball spectators may park in the same location or in the back of the main parking lot. From there, walk down the access road to the softball field. The rear parking lot near all fields is reserved for buses, officials, and handicap parking only.

PTA Updates

1. Our PTA needs volunteers for 25-26! To stay active, NC PTA requires key roles: VP & Treasurer.  Other openings:

• Social Media – Manage PTA's FB & Instagram
• Membership – Enter memberships into the system
• Spirit Wear – Order & assist with distribution
• Hospitality – Plan staff appreciation events
• 8th Grade Celebrations – Coordinate w/ staff for 8th grade celebrations
• Sponsorships – Recruit sponsors & plan spirit nights.

2. Save the date for our next spirit night at Goodberry's in WF!  March 26 11am - 10pm, mention HMS PTA when ordering.
