End of Year Wrap Up! - 6.2.23 Memo

End of Year Carpool Parade

As a great big, humongous thank you to our teachers, we would like to invite all families to decorate their cars for the final day, morning carpool line. We will have all our classroom teachers receive the students in the carpool line as we thank and honor them for their hard work and dedication to our Leopards. *The appreciation parade will be the morning of Friday, June 9, 2023.

Let's show our teachers how much we appreciate them...a carpool appreciation parade it is! Be sure to show your Leopard pride by wearing your blue & yellow spirit wear and decorate your cars this Friday!

Thank You

Thank you to all those who volunteered to support monitoring K-2 lunches for EOG testing this week. We appreciate your continued commitment to ensuring our amazing teachers get a lunch break on days our human resources are stretched thin. We are because of YOU!

5th Grade Promotion

Congratulations to our 5th graders as we spend the end of the year celebrating their promotion to middle school! We appreciate their leadership at Lead Mine and look forward to seeing them blossom as middle schoolers!

Staffing Support

We continue to have a need for daily substitutes to support the daily operations at Lead Mine Elementary. Please click here to learn more about how to apply to be a Wake County Public School substitute. In addition to daily subs, we will have four long-term substitute opportunities to begin the 23-24 school year. These positions will be long-term commitments from August through October/November. Please reach out should you have interest in a long-term substitute opportunity.

EOG Testing Updates

Our End of Grade Reading and Mathematics assessments have been administered and our Science will be given on Tuesday. Students who missed any of the assessments will be assessed the day they return from absence. We will remain in the testing window through the last day of school. Thank you for ensuring your Leopards were well-rested and prepared to give their best...they made us proud!
