Eagle families, we are so very excited about our students' return.  We can't wait to see all of you! We know that many of you are excited but, some of you may also be a little nervous.  Therefore, included in today's message, our principal will be reading from the book, "The Kissing Hand".  We hope that it will make some of you feel a little better about the start of school.  Please see the video link here: The Kissing Hand

 

Below you will see a few reminders that you will need to review prior to the start of school next week (Tuesday, August 27th for grades 1-5 (remember kindergarten will be participating in staggered entry and will not start the first full week of school until Tuesday, September 3rd)

 

 

• Carpool

Please review our carpool policies and procedures included with a link and a video tutorial in our opening letter above.  Parents will NOT be allowed to park in our parking lots to drop off or to pick up during carpool. (This creates traffic snarls and impedes our carpool and we do not have enough parking available. )

• Upcoming Events:

 

Kindergarten Playdate is this week.  On Friday, August, 23rd from 9:00-10:00 we are inviting all of our rising kindergarten students and families to come and join us for some fun! There will be activities for the students and opportunities for families to meet each other. Hope to see you there!

 

WES Welcome Walk

 

We are very excited to share that we will be hosting a WES Welcome Walk this week on Friday, August 23rd (11:00-12:00 1st and 2nd grade) (12:00-1:00 for 3rd-5th grades).  (Please see postcard sent to you this summer) This will be a time in which students and families may come and see their classrooms and meet their teachers. *Please be advised that we will not be able to accommodate conferences during this event due to limited time. 

 

 

Spirit Night at Goodberry's

 

Please join us for our first PTA Spirit Night of the year at Goodberry's Frozen Custard on Retail Drive in Wake Forest on Tuesday, Aug. 27th 4-8:00pm (What a great way to celebrate the first day of school)!  We hope to see you there (30% of the sales go back to the school)!
