Please be advised that Wakefield High School sent the following message to their families this am:

Wakefield High School Message 1-25-24

Currently, Wakefield High School has resumed all normal activities.

During the event, Wakefield Elementary worked collaboratively with WCPSS, Wakefield High School and WCPSS Security Department, and it was determined that the elementary was not affected in any manner.  We continued our normal schedule as directed.

However, due to the investigation and timing of the event at WHS, we were not able to continue with our planned 3-5th grade field trip to the high school theater this morning to see our students' dress rehearsal for Jungle Book. 

We have currently re-scheduled the trip for tomorrow, Friday morning (1-26-24) but will continue to monitor the situation to ensure that all students will be safe.
