Harris Creek Turns Pink Tomorrow, December 4

Tomorrow, December 4th, Harris Creek is Turning Pink in support of all of our friends and family that have battled or are battling cancer. Staff and students are encouraged to wear pink in honor or memory of these loved one. 

 

 

Deadline to sign up for Winter Break Meal Bundle is Tomorrow, December 4

Be sure to register by tomorrow if you are in need of receiving the Winter Break Meal Bundle. Daily curbside and bus deliveries will not be operational from Tues., Dec. 22nd to Jan. 1. Child Nutrition Services will be offering free meal bundles that will be distributed Mon., Dec. 21 from 10:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. at select distribution sites.
The Winter Break Meal Bundle will include eight breakfasts and eight lunches. One meal bundle per child. You do not have to be a WCPSS student to receive meals, only 18 years of age or younger to qualify. The meals will be provided at no cost. Complete the Winter Break Meal Bundle Form by Fri., Dec. 4.
When ordering, please remember that you must have sufficient cooler/freezer space to store the complete bundle for each child for eight days (breakfast and lunch).

Second Semester Virtual Academy Registration Link

Be sure to sign up for Virtual Academy for the second semester if you originally only completed the initial survey for Fall only but want to remain in VA for the remainder of the year. Even if your child was moved to VA recently and you told Mrs. Sanchez or your teacher that you wanted full year, you still need to register through the district link here: https://www.wcpss.net/domain/17137

Asynchronous/Remote Learning Days

Be sure your child is logging on to their Wake ID Portal to complete their daily Google Classroom assignments on Asynchronous/Remote Learning Days, whether they are in Virtual Academy or in person learning. These days count as instructional days and the teachers post instructional videos to keep the students on pace with their learning. The work they submit is graded. If you and your child do not know how to log on to the Wake ID portal and use Google Classroom, you must contact your teacher immediately for directions. 

There will be NO Asynchronous/Remote Learning Day next week! In person students will come to school all 5 days next week and Virtual Academy will have live instruction all 5 days next week.

Our final Asynchronous/Remote Learning Days for 2020 are: Wednesday, December 16, Monday, December 21, and Tuesday, December 22. 

 

 

Winter Break

All students will be on Winter Break from Wednesday, December 23 through Sunday, January 24. School will resume on Monday, January 25 for in person and Virtual Academy.
