Cougar Blast - Week of 4.19.21

Dear Cougar Family,

We’ve had another great week here at AMS. I would like to give a huge shout out to our PTA for providing our campus with a total of seven water bottle filling stations. We have five of them installed so far and are so grateful for the ability to upgrade our campus with these environment friendly stations. Thank You!

  • As you can imagine, with more students on campus, the number of carpool families has increased as well. Please remember to be patient as cars navigate through the carpool and allow the process to run as it needs to. The utmost priority is to ensure that our students arrive on campus and enter and exit their vehicles safely,  in the carpool circle.
  • During the morning carpool, we ask that you refrain from entering the carpool circle prior to 7:40 as it makes it difficult for our staff members to park their vehicles in the parking lot.
  • During afternoon carpool, students are not to leave their classroom until they see their carpool number displayed. Please do not text your child to let them know you are waiting for them, as it causes them to disregard the procedures that are put in place.
  • As always, thank you for understanding the importance of  working together to ensure that all students are following safety protocols and procedures at all times.

  • Attendance
    • It is crucial for this last quarter that all students make every effort to attend and engage in their classes every day, whether virtual or in person.
    • Students attending virtual classes will be required to be signed into their LIVE Google Meet sessions and participate as required to be considered PRESENT for the day.
    • Please note that for Plan A students, there is no remote learning option if they are absent from school. Students will follow the normal, pre-pandemic procedures of contacting their teachers and making up work if they are absent.
    • If an absence is COVID-related, we will work with each family on an individual basis.
  • In an effort to keep us all safe, please adhere to following recommendations:
    • Students should not be in school if they are diagnosed with COVID-19, exposed to someone with COVID-19, instructed to quarantine, or if they are sick or experiencing any of these symptoms:
