The purpose of the Academically or Intellectually Gifted (AIG) Program is to provide an appropriately challenging educational program for students who perform, or show potential for performing, at remarkably high levels of accomplishment when compared to others of their age, experience, or environment. AIG students receive specific education services beyond those ordinarily provided by the traditional educational program.
Students can be nominated for the AIG program throughout the school year:
- AIG Nominations must be submitted by 9/29/17 to be eligible for the Semester 1 testing window 10/5/17-10/18/17.
- AIG Nominations must be submitted by 1/10/18 to be eligible for the Semester 2 testing window 1/16/18-1/30/18.
Parent inquiries about the AIG Program appropriate options for differentiation at Apex Middle School should be directed to our AIG resource teacher, Dana Pilkington.
