DRMS' Principal Message
Greetings Dolphin Families,
National School Resource Officer Awareness Day: As we celebrate National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day on 2/17/25, we extend our gratitude to Deputy Bullock for her dedication to our school community. More than a protector, she is a mentor and role model, fostering trust and safety. From morning greetings to safety drills, Deputy Bullock goes above and beyond to support students and staff. Her efforts strengthen the bond between law enforcement and our school. Deputy Bullock, we are grateful for your service and commitment to making Durant Road Middle School a better place every day!

Athletics News
Dragonfly paperwork must be completed by 02/20/25 for spring sports.
Reality of Money: On March 18, we will have a Reality of Money event sponsored by State Employees Credit Union. This event offers a financial simulation that provides students an opportunity to make financial decisions about paying for housing, transportation, and other monthly expenses as they are "transformed" into young adults with jobs and other responsibilities to manage. Students are exposed to various financial learning points such as the value of furthering their education, the importance of saving, the limiting effect of bad credit, and "living within their means". We will need 30 volunteers per session in order to provide this opportunity for our students. There are no requirements to volunteer. All volunteers will be provided with all of the training and materials needed. If you are willing to offer your time for one or both sessions, we would love to have you. Please review the session times and sign up here.
Have a great week!
