DRMS' Principal Message
Happy Daylight Saving Time Dolphins! This is Kristen Faircloth, proud principal of Durant Road Middle School, with your March 13, 2022 Family Message.
Many of us are excited and ready for longer days and warmer weather. However, it is always difficult to "spring forward" and lose an hour of sleep this time of year. We had another great week full of learning and teaching. Our students, staff, and families once again rose to the occasion to help ensure that all members of our school community were treated with respect regardless of their decision regarding wearing a mask or not. We look forward to this mutual respect continuing at DRMS.
Our final track out for the 2021-22 school year is quickly approaching! While we are all excited about this much needed break, there is still a lot of curriculum to cover and work to do. We officially have 2 weeks remaining in Quarter 3 and until we track out. Please consider speaking with your child(ren) about their efforts inside and outside of the classroom to ensure we end this quarter strong.
Please take a moment to read through the Family Message below and don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or needs. As always, our goal is to support you and ensure your child is successful at DRMS.
2022 WCPSS School Social Worker of the Year: Congratulations to our very own Orlander Bullock on being named the 2022 WCPSS School Social Worker of the Year!
