DRMS' Principal Message

Hello Dolphins!  This is Kristen Faircloth, proud principal at Durant Road Middle School, with your November 22, 2020 Family Message.

We truly hope you had a wonderful weekend and are ready for the holiday break.  Please keep yourself and your families safe in the coming days.  Last week was another successful week at DRMS with having Cohort 1-A students on campus and the continuation of remote learning and Virtual Academy.  Our students and staff are resilient in the face of adversity this year!  We do have two more days of school (remote learning) this week so please read the details in the Family Message below.

If there is anything we can do for you or your family, please don’t hesitate to contact us.  We want you to feel as comfortable as possible with all things Durant Road Middle School.  And it's always best to reach-out and ask clarifying questions rather than be frustrated.  We are in this together as a school community.  We hope you have a wonderful week!

Monday 11/23 & Tuesday 11/24:  This is a friendly reminder that Monday and Tuesday of this week are Remote Learning Days.  No students will be on campus and all students will be learning remotely.  Teachers will be posting asynchronous assignment in google classrooms for students to engage in.  Attendance will be taken through submitted assignments.

WCPSS is Turning PINK:  WCPSS is turning PINK the week of November 30 - December 4 in the fight against cancer!  Collectively, we will raise money and awareness for the American Cancer Society.  The campaign runs the week after Thanksgiving.  DRMS will "Wear Pink" on Friday, December 4, 2020.  Please consider making a donation.   If we all give a little, we can make a big impact:  https://bit.ly/wakecountypublicschools
