Promotion Letter

We are in the process of analyzing quarter two student data.  Based on the student progress and teacher input we will determine who will be receiving a midyear letter regarding promotion/retention/proficiency. Per Wake County policy, we are required to notify parents during quarter three if their child is not meeting grade-level benchmarks.

This letter does not suggest that your child will be retained, but that a promotion plan will be put in place to assist us in working together to support your child’s academic growth and promotion.

If you receive a letter and you have not yet met with your child’s teacher, you are encouraged to do so.

Middle School Registration

This month 5th graders will be registering for their middle school classes. Please have a talk with your child concerning their interest so that they are prepared to make an informed decision.
