  • School History:

    Holly Ridge Middle School was finished in 2002 and opened as Fuquay Middle School for the 2002-2003 school year as Fuquay’s original building was renovated. We opened the doors as Holly Ridge Middle School for the inaugural class of 2003-2004.  Our mascot is a Hornet and the school colors are Blue and Yellow. We have a rich tradition of excellence achieved in both academics and athletics. 

    School Profile:

    Holly Ridge Middle runs on a traditional school bell schedule. Our enrollment is approximately 1,100 students on a yearly basis, and we have over 70 staff members working to prepare our students for productive citizenship as well as higher education.

    D.J. Burt Minor League baseball
    Carlos Rodon  MLB
    C.J. Leslie  NBDL, Overseas professional basketball, Big 3 Pro tour
    Kiara Leslie WNBA World Champion Washington Mystics
    Andy Wantz Minor League Baseball 

    Approximately 70 student athletes have gone on to play at the collegiate level.
