• Paws of Gold

Pleasant Union's "Paws of Gold" chorus is open to any 4th or 5th grader who is interested in singing and performing. There is no audition for this group. However you must possess a willingness to learn many types of music and commit to before school rehearsals twice a week (when you are tracked in). Singers and their parents are also asked and sign a behavior contract promising to follow some simple rules of respect. During the school year, we usually sing at least once in the community, and several times at school.

Our group also auditions each year for a big County-wide performance called Pieces of Gold. It is quite an honor to be selected for this, and our Paws of Gold singers have been in it for the past two years. In 2012, we were even asked to sing for the Superintendent at the Central Office! This show requires some extra time for rehearsals with other schools. Ask any student who has been in the performance and they will tell you that the work was worth it! Come join the fun! Contact Mrs. Freer if you have questions.
