Danielle Larkin
Hello, my name is Danielle Larkin and I have worked with children and families as an early childhood educator and social worker since 2006. I studied psychology as an undergraduate at the University of Virginia, and then completed my Master of Social Work at Virginia Commonwealth University. I have spent the last 6 years as a lead teacher at a play-based preschool in Raleigh, NC, and also have experience in Head Start. I believe children learn best through play and an emergent curriculum due to the focus on the child’s needs and interests, social and emotional well-being, and as a member of the community. As a previous social worker at the University of North Carolina, I have experience working collaboratively with children and families and connecting families with resources in their community.
In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors, hiking, sewing, and spending time with my friends and family. I live in Raleigh with my husband and two children.
