If your child will have medication at school this year, please consider signing in medication during office hours on August 25th or 26th (8:00a-2:00p).
If your student is self-carry only, you can have them drop off the 1702 form in the front office. Please make sure that there is a medical provider and parent signature on the back of the form under the self-carry section.
Per WCPSS Medication Policy, a 1702 form must be submitted for any prescription medications. For more information or to access a copy of the 1702 Form, please use the following link:

For any questions, please reach out to the school nurse Heide Cassimatis at hcassimatis@wcpss.net. or 919-524-1894.
This information has been in past messages.
To purchase a parking pass your child must have a valid drivers license. Also, parking passes can be purchased throughout the year when your child obtains their drivers license.
HERE are the forms to complete. We do have a notary on campus. Payments can be made after all paperwork is submitted at the school. School Cash Online will be an option. You may also pay with cash or check in-person. Please email Assistant Principal Robin Booth with questions, rbooth@wcpss.net.
Exam Exemptions for Grades 9-11
Our school is one of a number of high schools in the school district who will be piloting a new program this year that expands the opportunity for final exam exemptions to students in grades 9-11. We have chosen to engage in this pilot program as a part of our ongoing efforts to maximize the amount of time that students are in class as we believe that greater access to classroom instruction yields greater achievement.
While we will talk with all students about the details of this exam exemption process that has been historically limited to only seniors, students in grades 9-11 can be exempt from non-state assessments when they meet all three of the following criteria:
-
A or B as projected final grade for the course
-
10 or fewer absences (of any kind) for the course
-
10 or fewer tardies for the course
We will provide students and parents with additional information and answers to frequently asked questions after the school year begins. In the meantime, feel free to reach out if you have questions.
If you need to request a schedule change/correction, please read the information below carefully and use the form linked below to submit a change request.
The form is for FIRST and SECOND semester schedule change requests. This is the only schedule change request process for the 2025-26 school year. If the schedule change request is approved, the change will be reflected in Infinite Campus by Friday, August 29th. If your schedule has not been adjusted by Friday, August 29th your schedule change request could not be accommodated. Students will not be emailed about changes unless Student Services needs additional information. We are unable to consider schedule change requests made outside of this form. Any requests sent through email will not be considered nor responded to. This form must be submitted by 2:30pm on Wednesday, August 27th.
**Please note, submitting a request does not guarantee a change will be made to your schedule.**
The following reasons meet the criteria for a schedule correction request:
- Incomplete schedule
- Classes are out of sequence (Example: Math 3 first semester, Math 2 second semester)
- Scheduled for 2 courses in the same period
- Has not met the prerequisite
- Requests to increase or decrease rigor (Example - request to move from Honors Math 3 to Math 3 Academic or request to move from Civic Literacy to AP US Government) ***subject to space/availability within your schedule***
- Request to add a performing arts course to your schedule (band, chorus, or dance) ***subject to space/availability within your schedule***
* To change from academic to honors or honors to academic in core classes other than Math (English, Science, Social Studies), the student will need to contact their current teacher after school starts but before September 8, 2025 to request a change. In this case, only the level will change, not the teacher or class period, as these classes are combo classes with both academic and honors level students in the same class.
The following reasons do not meet criteria:
- Specific teacher/period/semester requests
- Change of mind
- Received alternate(s)
The list of individuals you had previously approved to pick up your student from their former school did not transfer over to our current system, Infinite Campus. While parent/guardian information has been carried over, any additional approved contacts will need to be re-submitted. This applies for any student being checked out of school prior to the end of the school day.
To ensure a smooth and secure student checkout process, we kindly ask that you complete the
Google Form and list any additional individuals you would like to authorize to pick up your student. Please note that all approved individuals will be required to show a valid photo ID when checking out a student from school.
