Hello! My name is Tom Baden (the kids call me Mr. Tom!) and I am the new teacher of Multilingual Learners at Laurel Park Elementary. I am excited to help your English learners grow and develop their language skills to be successful here at LPES and beyond.

I know learning a foreign language can be difficult, stressful and overwhelming. I experienced this when I lived and taught at international schools in Latin America. That is why my first goal as an ESL teacher is to build a nurturing, trusting and fun learning environment.

I am a high energy teacher who enjoys doing STEAM projects with my students and I have a fun and exciting year planned for your children. I am a graduate of the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill and have my Master's degree in Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages. I look forward to welcoming our foreign language students and having a fun, action packed learning experience together.
