Single Subject Acceleration: Single Subject Acceleration (SSA) is the practice of assigning a student to a higher-grade level than is typical, given the student’s age, for the purpose of providing access to appropriately challenging learning opportunities in either Math or English Language Arts.

The SSA Parent Test Request Window for year-round schools will open soon.  See the list below for specific dates for your child's track.  Requests will only be accepted through the MES google form during your assigned dates. Windows open at 8:00 AM the first day and close at 4:00 PM on the last day of each window.

Parents are strongly encouraged to attend an in-person SSA Parent Presentation to learn more about SSA and whether your child might be a good candidate. Track 2 & 4 meetings will be on March 12th at 8:15 AM and 5:30 PM in the Media Center.

If you are unable to attend a meeting, please have a conversation with your child's teacher or reach out to Mrs. Lesher our SSA contact to help determine whether or not your child is a strong candidate for SSA testing. You may also review the parent presentation and speaker notes here if you are unable to attend a meeting.
