I am a native from Germany, grew up in the beautiful Black Forest region where the delicious Black Forest cake, the smoked ham and the Kuckuck clocks originated. I earned my Bachelor and Master degree in Education at the Pedagogical University in Karlsruhe, my hometown. I then taught several years at the elementary level in Germany as a classroom teacher. After moving to my neighbor country France , I taught German in Paris to children whose German parents had moved to the city for work reasons as well as French children who showed interest in learning the language. I stayed there for 10 years. A move to North Carolina followed, and I have lived in Wake Forest for the past 23 years. Over these years I taught French and German at different schools and levels in the Raleigh area. I am a returning teacher for Wiley where I previously taught for 1 year before the care for my older parents brought me back to Germany.
My heart is with the elementary students and I am very happy to be back at this wonderful school. In my free time I enjoy cooking, baking , knitting, laughing as much as possible and watching or reading mystery stories from England or Norway!
