  • Welcome new Kindergarten Families!

    Be on the lookout for emails soon regarding Track Assignments and Virtual Kindergarten Orientation. 

     

    Student Item Pickup 

    Families are invited to come during the times below to pick up remaining student items. 

    • Last Names A-F - Tuesday, June 2nd from 12:00-3:00
    • Last Names G-L - Thursday, June 4th from 9:00-12:00
    • Last Names M-R - Tuesday, June 9th from 12:00-3:00
    • Last Names S-Z - Thursday, June 11th from 9:00-12:00

     

    Please note: 

    • Please limit the number of family members who enter the building to that which is necessary for retrieval of items. 
    • All Brassfield community members (teachers, parents, and students) should wear a mask or face covering within the building. 
    • If you will be returning to WCPSS next year you do not need to return WCPSS property . At this time we will only be collecting WCPSS property (Chromebooks, library books, etc.) from students who are leaving the county.
    • Families will enter through the front door and exit through back playground doors to keep traffic flowing in one direction. 

     

    Amended 2019-2020 Year-Round Calendar

    WCPSS has amended the 2019-2020 School Calendar to reflect our new Remote Learning structure.  The last day of school for Track 1 will be Thursday, June 4th. The last day of school for Tracks 2, 3, & 4 will be Thursday, June 11th. 

     

    Year-End Report Cards

    Teachers will be emailing report cards to parents one week prior to the last day of school. Due to the COVID-19 closure, there will be no grades given for quarters 3 or 4.  Year-End feedback encompassing overall growth for the year will be provided in the comments. 

     

    Proposed 2020-2021 Year-Round Calendar

    The WCPSS Board of Education was presented with a draft 2020-2021 calendar.The county is currently gathering questions and feedback. A final calendar is expected to be voted on on June 2nd. 

     

    Kindergarten Registration

    If you have a rising Kindergartener, or know a family with one, please make sure you are registered for next school year!  Contact Data Manager Kathie Hill (khill@wcpss.net) with questions.  All rising Kindergarteners with an older sibling will be placed on the same track as their older siblings. Track assignments for families new to Brassfield are expected to go out the first week of June.
