Computer Skills & Applications IDescription: This course is designed to teach middle grade students skills in touch typing, computer fundamentals, proofreading, and document formatting (including paragraph formats, business letters, tables, reports, and e-mail correspondence).Adv. Computer Skills & ApplicationsDescription: This course is composed of instructional modules designed to provide hands-on instruction in basic keyboarding skills, computer concepts, and software applications. The software applications include word processing, presentation software, and spreadsheets.Exploring CareersDescription: This middle school course provides an orientation to the world of work. Emphasis is placed on self awareness, understanding the world of work, and the career planning process. Based on the National Career Development Guidelines, skills learned in this course include, but are not limited to, communication, personal management, and teamwork.

Computer Science Discoveries I
This 18-week middle school course introduces students to computer science as a vehicle for problem-solving, communication, and personal expression. Students will build on their coding experience as they create programmatic images, animations, interactive art, and games. Along the way, they practice design, testing, and iteration, as they come to see that failure and debugging are an expected and valuable part of the programming process.

Computer Science Discoveries II
This 18-week middle school course will have students explore the broader social impacts of computing and learn how to create basic web pages. Through a series of design challenges, students will have the opportunity to identify a need that they care about, prototype solutions, and test solutions with real users to get feedback and drive further iteration.

Family and Consumer Science (FACS)
Exploring Family and Consumer Science (Family Focus)Description: This middle school course allows students to explore life skills essential for their roles as managers, consumers, workers, and family members both now and in the future. Areas of study include managing resources, relating with others, making healthy food choices, learning about children, and preparing for careers. Art, mathematics, and science are reinforced. Work-based learning strategies appropriate for this course include service learning and job shadowing. Apprenticeship and cooperative education are not available for this course. 6th Grade: Exploring Agricultural Science ICourse Description: This exploratory course expands on the topics in the industry of agricultural science. Topics of instruction include animal science, agricultural science and technology, plant science, agricultural issues, natural resources, food science, stewardship, consumer agriculture, and careers in agricultural science. English language arts, mathematics, and science are reinforced. Teaching strategies encourage the development of essential skills and knowledge of the world of work, careers and leadership in the agriculture and medical industries. FFA leadership activities apply instructional competencies to authentic experiences.8th Grade: Fundamentals of the Agriscience ProgramWant to get your hands dirty and work outside? We are offering a new course that will focus on hands-on work on campus on a regular basis. This is for students who are willing to be outside doing gardening, campus beautification, and other projects throughout the semester.
