Dr. Michael Applewhite, Assistant Principal (7th Grade)
My name is Michael Applewhite and I am an Assistant Principal here at Rolesville Middle School (RMS). I have been at RMS since 2015. Prior to arriving at RMS, I served as a College and Career Specialist for the Chicago Public Schools. I have also had the opportunity to serve as a building principal at all grade levels (elementary, middle, and high school). I received my doctorate in Educational Leadership in 2009 from Fayetteville State University.
I have enjoyed sports my whole life and had the opportunity to experience it at both the college and professional levels (Arizona Cardinals).
My wife and I reside in Wake Forest. In my spare time, I enjoy going to the gym as well as spending time with my extended family.
Mrs. Susan Lavallee, Assistant Principal (8th Grade)
My name is Susan Lavallee and I am an Assistant Principal here at Rolesville Middle School (RMS). I have been at RMS since 2013. Prior to being a school administrator, I served as a Special Education teacher.
I grew up in Massachusetts and met my husband in Kindergarten (yes, you read that right). We moved to NC in 2007 as we fell in love with the area and decided this is where we wanted to raise our family. We have two children (Greg, 16, and Alexis, 12).
I have recently begun my doctorate in Educational Leadership at East Carolina University.
In my spare time, I enjoy being outside, going to the beach as much as I can, and traveling (we are true MouseJunkies and love Disney!).
