This is Ms. Cooper with a weekly update. We had an amazing week at RMS! Your weekly update is below. On behalf of the teachers and staff at RMS, I would like to wish each of you a Happy Thanksgiving!  We are grateful that you choose to share your child(ren) with us!

• Thanksgiving Holiday: November 22-24
• High School Registration (8^th Grade Families): RMS families interested in learning more about and staying up to date on WCPSS high school registration events/information can check out the RMS 8^th grade website here. It contains the 8^th grade counselor calendar of events, early college H.S/ magnet school information, and overall high school registration information.
• Book Fair Volunteer Sign-Up:  Parents we are seeking volunteers to support with our Fall Book Fair the week of November 27.  Please use this LINK to volunteer if you are available.  Thank you in advance.

 

Reminders:

• Volunteer Registration Sign-Up: Parents who are interested in volunteering and/or chaperoning this school year, please log on this LINK and register.  Parents you must complete this process each school year.  You do not have to come into the school to register.
• Needs Assessments: RMS Families, we at RMS want to support our students and their families in any way possible. As part of this, we ask families to take a moment to visit this link and complete the needs assessment. All responses go directly to our school social worker, Ms. Effler and are kept confidential. There are a variety of resources available for WCPSS families, and we want to help where we can. If you need assistance at any time Ms. Effler can be reached via email at aeffler@wcpss.net, or by phone at 919-570-2260 ext. 20271 or 919-900-0751. We appreciate your time in completing the needs assessment.

• RMS Grading Policy: Parents, please make sure you have reviewed the grading policy for 23-24.  It is in our handbook and I am also linking a copy here.  We have altered our practice as it relates to missing assignments and late work.  23-24 RMS Grading Policy

 

PTA News:

• Upcoming Spirit Night Tuesday, 11/28 from 5pm-8pm at Piezanos. RMS will get back 10% of sales when mentioning RMS. 

• PTA Membership:  Please join our PTA. They work so hard to support our students and staff.  Membership form link: RMS PTA Membership Link

****The class with the most PTA memberships by 11/30 will get a DONUT PARTY!****
