Book Fair: Get ready…the Scholastic Book Fair is coming to our school! Here is everything you need to know about the Book Fair:

There is even more info on our school’s Book Fair homepage. While you’re there, set up a Book Fair eWallet, the digital payment account that allows your child to shop for books at the Fair without cash. Then, share your eWallet link so that friends and extended family can add funds.

 

Spring Arts Events: The RMS Arts Department will present their spring showcases this week. The 6^th and 8^th grade bands will perform on Tuesday night at 6:30pm (student report time is 6pm). The choir and 7th grade band will perform on Thursday night at 6:30pm (choir report time is 5:30 and band report time is 6pm). The Visual Art Walk Gala will be held before the Thursday night concert from 4:00-6:00 (with light refreshments). We hope you will be able to come see and hear what the RMS students have been up to!

EOGs Pledge: EOGs are just around the corner for and we are asking students to pledge to do 2 things: 

1. To be present each day of testing
2. To work on the EOG for at least 70 minutes each day

Counselors will be hosting a pledge signing event during lunch according to the dates below where students can show their commitment to giving their best effort.

6^th Grade Parents: North Carolina law now requires Tdap and Meningococcal vaccines for entry into 7th grade. Please submit an updated copy of your child's shot record to the school if you have not already done so. If you have any questions, please contact our school's data manager at jcofield@wcpss.net.

Athletics: 

This week is our final week of Athletics for the 24-25 school year. Softball will be visiting Zebulon Middle School on Monday and on Wednesday we will have our Athletics Award Night at 6pm. Thank you to everyone who has supported our student athletes this year!

Parents of current 6th and 7th graders- please be mindful that attendance and grades this semester determine eligibility for fall and winter sports in the 25-26 school year. Students must be present for at least 85% of days and pass 70% of classes this semester to be eligible. Full athletics eligibility information can be found at https://www.wcpss.net/Page/1459.

8th Grade Parents- Rolesville and Heritage High School have scheduled Meet the Coach nights for rising freshman. Rolesville High School Meet the Coach Night is May 19th at 6pm. Heritage High School's event is May 21st at 7pm.

Feria del Libro: ¡Prepárense… la Feria del Libro Scholastic llega a nuestra escuela! Aquí tienen todo lo que necesitan saber sobre la Feria del Libro:

Eventos artísticos de primavera: El Departamento de Artes de RMS presentará sus exhibiciones de primavera esta semana. Las bandas de 6.º y 8.º grado se presentarán el martes a las 18:30 h (hora de presentación de los estudiantes: 18:00 h). El coro y la banda de 7.º grado se presentarán el jueves a las 18:30 h (hora de presentación del coro: 17:30 h y la banda: 18:00 h). La Gala del Paseo de las Artes Visuales se llevará a cabo antes del concierto del jueves de 16:00 a 18:00 h (con refrigerios). ¡Esperamos que puedan venir a ver y escuchar lo que han estado haciendo los estudiantes de RMS!

 

Eventos de Fin de Año: Consulten las fechas de nuestros eventos de fin de año y anótenlas en sus calendarios. Si tienen alguna pregunta, avísenme.

Promesa para los EOG: Los EOG están a la vuelta de la esquina y les pedimos a los estudiantes que se comprometan a hacer dos cosas:

1. Estar presentes todos los días de las pruebas.

2. Trabajar en el EOG durante al menos 70 minutos cada día.

Los consejeros organizarán un evento de firma de promesas durante el almuerzo, según las fechas que se indican a continuación, donde los estudiantes podrán demostrar su compromiso de dar lo mejor de sí mismos.
