Hello, Rolesville MS Families and Happy New Year!

This is Ms. Cooper with a weekly update! I hope everyone had a pleasant weekend! Parents, please see important information below

Winter Break: December 23-January 3; students on Tracks 1&3 return on January 6.  Track 4 students return on January 27.

Elective Changes: Students seeking a schedule change may pick up a form outside their grade level counselors' office. Forms must be signed by a parent and returned to the grade level counselor according to the deadlines below.  Students should continue to follow their schedule until notified by the counselor that a change has been made. There will be no changes if the student chose the elective class as a primary or alternate.

Tracks 1 & 3: January 13th       Track 4: February 3^rd

 

Athletics: This week our basketball teams travel to Heritage Middle on Tuesday and on Thursday we host Neuse River Middle for our second home game of the season. Tickets are $6 and can be purchased at the door or online at https://gofan.co/app/school/NC68219 . Students who stay for the game should be picked up at 6pm. Any track 4 students who would like to come attend the game Thursday should be dropped off after 3:45pm. We will have concessions for sale at the game (cash only).

6th and 7th grade parents- As we begin the second semester, please keep in mind that your child's grades and attendance for this semester will determine their eligibility for fall sports. WCPSS policy is that students must pass 70% of their courses (5 of 6 classes) and be in attendance at least 85% of the previous semester. 8^th Grade Parents: Still not sure where your student should attend High School next year? Check out this Parent PowerPoint guide to HS Options. Magnet school applications are due by January 23rd. Interested in transferring your student to a different school for high school? Hola, familias de Rolesville MS y ¡feliz año nuevo!

Les habla la Sra. Cooper con una actualización semanal. ¡Espero que todos hayan tenido un fin de semana agradable! Padres, consulten la información importante a continuación.

Vacaciones de invierno: del 23 de diciembre al 3 de enero; los estudiantes de los cursos 1 y 3 regresan el 6 de enero. Los estudiantes del curso 4 regresan el 27 de enero.

Cambios electivos: los estudiantes que deseen un cambio de horario pueden retirar un formulario afuera de la oficina de los consejeros de su nivel de grado. Los formularios deben estar firmados por un padre y devolverse al consejero de nivel de grado de acuerdo con las fechas límite que se indican a continuación. Los estudiantes deben continuar siguiendo su horario hasta que el consejero les notifique que se ha realizado un cambio. No habrá cambios si el estudiante eligió la clase electiva como principal o alternativa.

Atletismo: esta semana, nuestros equipos de baloncesto viajan a Heritage Middle el martes y el jueves recibimos a Neuse River Middle para nuestro segundo partido en casa de la temporada.
