Dear Rams Families:

1)  Hello-  Happy Friday! Thanks for a great first week!  I’ve enjoyed meeting everyone, getting acclimated to middle school again and understanding the Roleville MS Ram life. MrSherman left things in excellent order and your Assistant Principals and office staff are on top of things and keeping everything flowing beautifully.

While my stay here will be short as your interim Principal, I’m excited for you all to know who you new permanent Principal will be.  Mrs Angela Cooper has a message for everyone:

Dear Rolesville Students and Families,

It is with great excitement that I write this message of introduction to you as the new Principal of Rolesville Middle School.  I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with such persevering students, an extremely dedicated staff, and a supportive school community.  I feel very fortunate to be part of this school and to support the students and families. My official start date at Rolesville is Monday May 9, but I will be working with the interim principal and administrative staff this month to ensure a smooth transition.

I have been dedicated to the field of education for more than twenty-five years.  I have worked with students ranging in age from Kindergarten through 8th grade in a variety of roles. I have been a middle school English-language arts teacher, Middle School Instructional Coach as well as a Year-Round and Traditional MS Assistant Principal.  Most recently, I have served as the Principal of Wakelon Elementary School for the last six years.   I am thrilled to bring my skills as an educational leader to Rolesville Middle School and to work with you as a partner in education to ensure your child's success.

On a personal note, I have lived in the Northeastern area of Wake County for over 15 years. I have one son and he graduated from Rolesville HS in 2017.  We love Rolesville and all this community offers.

I view education as a life-long process and expect that I will continue to learn much about the uniqueness of Rolesville MS this year and in the years to come.   Most importantly, I bring a belief that students are at the center of all school-related decisions.  I am excited to unite my experience, my openness to learn, and my child-centered approach to support our students.  Because the relationships between families and the school are vital to the success of our students, I encourage you to become involved in every way possible.  I look forward to meeting you soon!

Thank you,

Angela R. Cooper
