Dear Rams Families
I hope everyone has had a great week!
- Basketball Games – Update: As a result of multiple issues that arose at our home game on Monday, we will be putting a new requirement in place beginning in January for the remainder of our home games.
Like football, students will be required to go home at dismissal however they normally go home. They may return at 3:45 for the game, which begins at 4:00 pm.
Moving forward all students who attend the game must attend with an adult chaperone. Students are welcome to attend with a friend who has an adult chaperone, but an adult must be present and attend the game.
- Chorus Sings at the Rolesville Tree Lighting: Last week our students were asked to put together a song for the Town of Rolesville Virtual Tree Lighting. Both chorus and band students came together and did an amazing job! We are so proud of them and wanted to share the tree lighting video with you. You can find it by clicking here.
- NJHS Induction: Congratulations to our 8th graders who were inducted into the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) last evening. Current 7th grade students will be invited to apply for NJHS in the spring.
- PTA General Meeting: The PTA will be holding a very brief general meeting on Monday at 3:30 pm. This meeting will be to update and vote on the budget based on our recent fundraiser. The meeting will be virtual and the meeting link will be posted here on Monday morning.
- Fundraiser Prizes: Prizes that students earned for their participation in our school fundraiser were sent home today. Track 1 prizes will be passed out when they return on Monday, January 3rd.
- Assignment Strips: Each year, the Office of Student Assignment prints and distributes assignment strips that are sent home with students. These assignment strips notify parents/legal custodians of a student’s school assignment for the next school year, the level of transportation the student is expected to receive, as well as a timeline of upcoming important dates. Please see below regarding access to your student’s assignment strip:
- Parents/legal custodians with a Homebase PowerSchool account: Your student will notreceive a hard copy of the assignment strip. Families will be able to sign into their PowerSchool account and access this information.
- Parents/legal custodians of students in Virtual Academy (that do not have a PowerSchool Account) and Track 1 students: Your student will receive their assignment strip via the mail. Strips will be mailed out prior to the December holiday break.
- Parents/legal custodians of students attending in-person learning the week of December 15, 2021: Yourstudent received their assignment strip today and should be bringing that home to you.
Have a great weekend!
Sincerely,
Thaddeus Sherman
