Dear Rams Families
I hope everyone has had a great week! Here are the updates and information for this week:
- Social Media: If you are not already, please consider monitoring your student’s social media. Even if you don’t believe they are posting things that should not be posted, many are following these types of things. We appreciate your help in limiting the impact of TikTok challenges at our school. While this has become a national trend, we want to focus our efforts specifically in how it impacts us locally.
- PTA: Thank you to everyone who donated gift cards for our teachers. These will be used to show appreciation to our teachers when they are asked to cover classes. We have struggled to find substitute teachers at times, which has required us to ask teachers to cover classes during their planning.
- PTA General Meeting: Mark your calendar for our first general assembly meeting of the year. This will be virtual and will take place on Friday, October 1st. The time and a link will be provided in the coming weeks.
- RMS Arts Booster: RMS Arts Program Parents, we need your help! The RMS Arts Boosters board has open positions for the 2021-2022 school year. If you have a few hours a month to spare, please consider joining the board. You are welcome to join us even if your student may not currently be participating in the arts at the present time.
Additionally, the RMS Arts Boosters will hold its first meeting of the 2021-2022 school year virtually on Thursday, September 30th at 6:30 PM. More information, including the link and code to join will be sent by your child’s arts teacher in the next few weeks.
If you are interested in joining the Arts Boosters board or want to receive email communications, please click here to share your information."
- Parent Communication: Earlier in the year you may recall us asking you to complete a parent communication survey. We are pleased to share that we have used that information to update the who, how, what, and when of communication between school and home. More information to come, but beginning 2nd quarter you will see more consistency in these areas of our parent communication.
I hope everyone has a great weekend!
