Dear Rams Families
I hope everyone has had a great week! We are excited to welcome Track 4 for their first day of school on Monday!
1. Track 4 Students: We would ask parents to limit coming into the school on Monday. We will have additional staff on hand to help students get to their homeroom. A copy of their schedule will be waiting for them in their homeroom class. Due to COVID-19 we are still limiting visitors into the school.
2. Carpool Next Week: With the return of Track 4 we will have a significantly larger number of students coming through carpool. We appreciate your patience as we settle into our routines and procedures for carpool. As a reminder:
a. Please stay in one line as you enter the school and go through the carpool lane.
b. Please pull forward as far as you are able so that we can unload as many cars as possible.
c. Please do not pass other vehicles without being directed by a staff member.
3. PTA Meeting: Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year. The PTA will be having an interest meeting on Wednesday, 8/4 at 6:30, in the school media center. Please join us to learn more about the opportunities to help RMS have a successful school year.
We are looking for board members and committee chairs. If you have any questions, please email us:rmsptarams@gmail.com

4. Parent Communication Survey: RMS is looking for parent and family input about our communication. Thank you to the families who have already completed the survey! The survey remains open and we are looking for more parents to provide their feedback.
5. National Junior Honor Society Applications:Monday, National Junior Honor Society applications will be available to current 8th grade students on track 4. Interested students should complete the google form application by August 16th. Students will be provided the link to the form in their homeroom. Students need to complete the application while logged into their WakeId. Students accepted into NJHS must have a 3.5 GPA, which will be verified based on last year's final grades.
I hope everyone has a great weekend!
Sincerely,
Thaddeus Sherman
