Athletics Parent Letter
Dear RMS Parents and Families,
This letter is to share information with you regarding Middle School Athletics for this school year. Last week, it was announced that there will be changes to how Middle School Athletics are implemented county-wide. No middle schools will engage in interscholastic competition. Instead, schools will hold after-school conditioning and agility, as well as some sport-specific skill development.

All students will be required to have a current physical on file (dated on or after March 1, 2019) with the school as well as a Middle School Athletic Participation Form on file.
Registration is open until 4:00 pm on Wednesday February 17th. After registration is completed, we will assign VA students to a cohort for athletic purposes. You will be notified via email of your cohort assignment. We are unable to make any changes to cohort assignments for VA students.
Your physical form and athletic participation form will need to be submitted via email to our athletics email address, which can be found in the flyer, prior to the first day of attending workouts.
Please know that the 5:00 pm pick-up time is critical. If a student is picked up after 5:10 they will be unable to continue to attend. If you do not have the required paperwork on file or arrive on the wrong cohort week you will not be allowed to participate at that time.
We have confirmed that an activity bus will be available if that is needed. Here is the information for that:
