Lead Mine Covid Testing
Wake County Public School System, in partnership with MAKO Medical Laboratories, will offer weekly, on-campus voluntary COVID-19 testing for all students and school-based staff. Lead Mine Elementary will begin the weekly volunteer testing Thursday, February 10, 2022. Mako will be on-campus each Thursday to complete pool testing from 8:30 am-9:15 am. Testing will occur weekly for those students who have opted-in to COVID-19 testing. Lead Mine’s COVID coordinators will manage the logistics of testing and MAKO Medical Laboratories will perform the weekly tests. Families who opt-in to the weekly testing pool will receive test results via e-mail and text message when the results are available.
