Substitutes Needed!

Lead Mine is in need of substitute teachers to cover classes due to vacancies as well as when teacher leaders have to be out themselves. Please visit the WCPSS website to see how you can support our daily, face to face instruction of our Leopards!

Volunteer Opportunity!

We are seeking support with keeping our campus litter free. If you are available to do weekly campus clean up - specifically picking up blown lunch trash in the carpool area, the bus loop, and the courtyard. Our classes are eating and snacking outside and we are attempting to keep up with ensuring the blown trash makes it to a trash can. This would be a great 15 minute volunteer opportunity if you arrive in carpool early in the mornings or afternoons! Any and all support would be greatly appreciated!

PTA Support!

We are up to 143 total PTA Members! Let's set our sights on reaching 200 members! If you have not joined our Parent Teacher Organization, please click here to learn more about how members play a vital role in the support of our school! 72% of our staff have joined...18% of our families have joined. Let's work to get to 100% ~ lofty goals!

We are up to 92 links on our Harris Teeter Together in Education connection! Four more links to beat last year's links...phone a friend...share the code...2231 links to Lead Mine and we earn dimes each time shoppers shop at Harris Teeter!

Thank yous...

Our entire school community has joined together to ensure that we are able to continue in a better place than we were last September. We are in person...we are engaging in many mitigating practices to support remaining in person...families are doing what they can to support our work...and for all that we thank you. We are four weeks in...in full transparency...we are tired. Thank you to all those who are reaching out to lift our Leopard Leaders up...doughnuts, sharing pictures/notes/emails that bring joy, lunches delivered, donations of supplies, donations towards or of purifiers, extra filters for purifiers - our community has truly risen up. If you have not already done so, please take a moment to recognize all those who are working diligently to provide our Leopards with the most positive, healthy, supportive learning experience we can as we continue living through a pandemic. You will notice that we as a school are supporting RED for ED each Wednesday. Please join us by wearing the color red each Wednesday in support of the work all educators are doing.
