MLK Monday - 1.15.2021 Memo

Leopard Families,

As many of you know, the WCPSS Board of Education voted 7-2 for Pre-K-12th grade to remain in remote learning through mid-February. Although not ideal, due to the community spread and safety measures necessary to slow the spread, it is believed that this is the safest option for our students, staff, and families.

Due to instruction remaining remote, ALL our Leopards will REMAIN with their Fall class - so all students will log in on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 with the teacher they are currently enrolled with and maintain the current virtual learning schedule. We will transition to our revised Plan B - Plan A - VA Semester Two Rosters when WCPSS makes the decision to return to face to face learning. We will keep you updated.

We look forward to moving into the second half of our school year and are hopeful that we are nearing more precedented times!

  • Monday, 1.18.21 - MLK, Jr. Holiday, No School
  • Tuesday, 1.19.21 - Teacher Work Day, No School for Students
  • Wednesday, 1.20.21 - First Day of Quarter Three
    • All students will log in for remote, live instruction through mid-February (Asynchronous Learning on Wednesday, February 3)
    • ALL students will currently remain with the class they have been learning with since August.
    • We will continue with our remote learning daily schedule.
    • Roster changes will be implemented when WCPSS returns to Plan B or Plan A (face to face instruction).
