This is Principal Nealy with our Wakelon Weekly Updates!
Literacy Celebrations: All families are invited to Wakelon on Thursday, March 27th for our Literacy Celebrations. All Kindergarten-fifth grade students will present their Quarter 3 Literacy Projects to their families. We hope that you all can attend. Presentations will be at the following times:
K- 1:00 pm
1st- 9:30 am
2nd-10:15 am
3rd-12:15 am
4th- 11:15 am
5th-2:15 pm
Field Day: We will have our Field Day on Friday, March 27th. Students are asked to dress comfortably in athletic clothing (if possible). Please make sure your child wears sneakers on this day. Thank you in advance!

The school character trait for the month of March is integrity. Please view the Culture Compass for additional information regarding integrity and how to support your young person’s learning this month.
Wakelon ES PTA Wellness Fair: The Wakelon ES PTA will be hosting a Wellness Fair sponsored by National PTA and Walmart. We are still in the planning stages and would love some feedback from you all to make this a successful event. Please take some time to complete the needs assessment. It is available in English and Spanish.

If you have questions about the Wakelon PTA Wellness Fair, please contact Conswalia Chambers-Banks.
Counselor Referral Form - Parent Referral: If your child or your family is experiencing a life-changing event or challenge- It might be helpful for your child to speak with a school counselor. If you have a concern that you would like the counselor to discuss with your child, please fill out the Parent Referral Form. When filling out the form, please include as much relevant detail about your concerns and the situation as possible. This helps our school counselors have a better understanding of the circumstances and will help inform their strategies and guidance in order to help your child.
SPRING BREAK! Please remember there is no school March 31st- April 4th. This is Spring Break. Students will return to school on Monday, April 7th.
