Celebrations: Middle of the year benchmark scores were released this past week and we are proud to share that Wakelon students are performing in the Top 4 in All Eastern Wake Elementary schools.  Our 4th and 5th grade students are #1 in Reading in Eastern Wake!!! We are so proud of our students and teachers! Parents, thank you for all that you do to hold your students accountable and for being the BEST partners in your child’s educational journey.  Wakelon continues to perform well because of your partnership!  Let’s keep this up so that we can continue grow!

 

Art to Remember: Your child has created some beautiful artwork.  Please view the following links to learn about how you can purchase their artwork for a small fee.  Proceeds will support the Wakelon Art Program.  (English Version)  (Spanish Version)

 

Culture Compass: Here is the Culture Compass/SEL Update Newsletter for the week of March 10, 2025. 

The school character trait for the month of March is integrity.  Please view the Culture Compass for additional information regarding integrity and how to support your young person’s learning this month.

 

Wakelon ES PTA Wellness Fair: The Wakelon ES PTA will be hosting a Wellness Fair sponsored by National PTA and Walmart.  We are still in the planning stages and would love some feedback from you all to make this a successful event.  Please take some time to complete the needs assessment.  It is available in English and Spanish.

Complete survey regarding electronic devices in schools by March 11: Parents and community members are invited to share their views regarding cell phones and other electronic devices in schools. A survey for parents and community members is available in English and Spanish, and will be available until March 11.
