This is Mrs. Nealy, your Wakelon Principal with our weekly updates!  

Teacher Workday: Please remember there is no school for students on Tuesday, November 5th.

NC Health Assessment: All students who are still in need of updated Health Assessments and immunizations received a letter from our school.  Please know that the deadline is November 15th.  

Literacy Celebrations: Thank you to all of our families who were able to attend the Quarter 1 Literacy Celebrations.  We will have these every quarter to showcase our students’ learning.  

Report Cards: Report Cards and IEP Progress Reports will be sent home with all students on Friday, November 8th. Please be sure to check your child’s book bag.

Happy Fall Y’all Positive Behavior Celebration: We will have our PBIS quarterly celebration next Friday, November 8th!  All students who have shown good behavior and character throughout the first quarter will get to participate in our Positive Behavior celebration.  

Family Engagement at Wakelon: Wakelon Elementary is excited to announce our "Wakelon Winter Wonderland" event that will take place in January.  During this family festival, we would like to provide a space for our Wakelon families to sell/market any of their "appropriate" small business goods and/or services. We are hosting the Winter Wonderland event on January 23rd from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. We are looking for businesses that would like to participate in selling and/or marketing their goods. The Market will take place in our gym. While we are happy to provide a space for you, we do have a small ask.  If you would like to participate in the market, we are asking that you donate a gift basket worth $20-25 that Wakelon can raffle off to families who attend, or a $20 cash donation.  This gift will be your contribution to participate at the Market.  If you are interested, please fill out the form below and someone from Wakelon will contact you!  Https://forms.gle/U7gUq1goYuaQgDKz9
