Teacher Workday: Please remember there is no school for students on Friday, November 1st.

 

NC Health Assessment: All students who are still in need of updated Health Assessments and immunizations received a letter from our school.  Please know that the deadline is November 15th.  

 

Literacy Celebrations: All families are invited to Wakelon on Thursday, October 31st for our Literacy Celebrations.  All Kindergarten-fifth grade students will present their Quater 1 Literacy Projects to their families.  We hope that you can all attend.  Presentations will be at the following times:

K- 1:00 pm

1st- 9:30 am

2nd-10:15 am

3rd-12:15 am

4th- 11:15 am

5th-2:15 pm

Anti-Bullying School Spirit Week: National School Anti-School Bullying Spirit Week will take place in October.  Please view here to learn more.

 

Costume Day: While we understand the fun of dressing up in costume on October 31st, please know that students are not allowed to wear face paint, wigs, and face masks.  Thank you in advance for your cooperation and support with this. 

 

Family Engagement at Wakelon: Wakelon Elementary is excited to announce our "Wakelon Winter Wonderland" event that will take place in January.  During this family festival, we would like to provide a space for our Wakelon families to sell/market any of their "appropriate" small business goods and/or services. We are hosting the Winter Wonderland event on January 23rd from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. We are looking for businesses that would like to participate in selling and/or marketing their goods. The Market will take place in our gym. While we are happy to provide a space for you, we do have a small ask.  If you would like to participate in the market, we are asking that you donate a gift basket worth $20-25 that Wakelon can raffle off to families who attend, or a $20 cash donation.  This gift will be your contribution to participate at the Market.  If you are interested, please fill out the form below and someone from Wakelon will contact you!  Https://forms.gle/U7gUq1goYuaQgDKz9 

 

Message from PTA - The School Spiritwear sale continues this week.  Parents/Guardians can and are encouraged to order online at: https://wakelon2024.itemorder.com/shop/home/.  Paper forms were sent home with each student.  An additional paper copy of the order form will be sent home with your student on Monday.  If you choose to order via the paper form, please submit the form with payment by Thursday, October 31, 2024.  The online store will remain open until Sunday, November 3, 2024.
