Happy Friday Wakelon Families!

This is Mrs. Nealy, your Wakelon Principal with our weekly updates!  I hope you all are safe and well during this inclement weather. 

September Student Character Recognition: We will celebrate our September Character recipients on Friday, October 4th at 9:30 am in the school’s Media Center. We have delayed the recognitions due to today’s workday.

Interim Reports: All students will come home with their first interim report on Monday, September 30th. We have delayed the date due to today’s workday.  Please reach out to your child’s teacher if you have any questions.

School Support Needed: Thank you so much to all who have made purchases so far to help us enhance our carpool lane.  It’s not too late to support.  Please consider purchasing an item from the Wakelon ES Carpool Enhancement wish list.  We are requesting that all items be purchased by Friday, October 4, 2024.  

Fall Picture Proofs: There will be no physical picture proofs sent home to families. You should have received an email from Lifetouch with an online access code to view your student’s images. You have the ability to go to https://my.photoday.com/s/LTBW/316039 and enter your student’s First Name, Last Name, and Student ID number or online access code and access the picture proofs this way. Also, no purchased picture packages will be sent to the school. Instead, they will come directly to your home once you order pictures online. If you need your student’s ID number, please contact their teacher and it can be shared with you for access to pictures.

If you would like your student to participate in Fall picture retakes, they will take place on Friday, October 25, 2024.

Student T-shirt Clarification/Update

We have received some questions regarding the student t-shirt size request form.  These shirts will be provided by the school and Wakelon ES PTA, at no cost to parents.  While many parents completed and returned the form, sizes are needed for some of our students. Mrs. Chambers-Banks, Dean of Culture, is contacting parents via Talking Points and/or phone to collect the remaining sizes. If you receive a message and/or phone call from Mrs. Chambers-Banks, please respond.
