July 26, 2020 Mustang News
Good Afternoon Mustang Families,
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. We have a few updates to share with you this afternoon.
All 7th grade students are required to have a TDAP Booster as well as the Meningococcal Vaccine and Martin is required to have a copy of the vaccination on file. Please send a copy of proof of vaccine to Ms. Sepulveda at email@example.com. If you are unable to send a copy via email, please plan to drop the hard copy off at school starting August 17th.
The WCPSS Virtual Academy has opened another short registration window that closes on Wednesday at 5pm. This will be your final opportunity to request a seat in our Virtual Academy. For those who have already requested a seat, if you would like to make changes to the request (moving from semester to year, etc.), please call the school at 919.881.4970. You may also email your grade level administrator.
All families are asked to complete the district’s technology survey. This survey is very important in our effort to ensure all students have access to a device and the internet to complete work at home. We ask that, even if you have a personal device and internet, received one in the spring during remote learning, or indicated the need when signing up for Virtual Academy during the last window, you complete the survey. If you need assistance in completing the survey, please call the school at 919.881.4970.
I know that many students are excited to see their schedule and learn what their day will look like. We are currently in the process of creating schedules that will serve both students in Virtual Academy and in Plan B Transition. While we would, traditionally, be close to finalizing schedules for students, we are not there yet. We will continue to work diligently through this process and will let everyone know when we have a schedule that will meet the needs of our students and our Gifted and Talented magnet theme. Please continue to reach out to grade level administrators and me if you have questions. We will do our best to answer them.
Have a wonderful, hot Sunday afternoon!
