Principal Grigg's Weekly Message 1/2/22

Baileywick’s 1/2/22 Message

Hello Bulldog Families!

We hope everyone enjoyed winter break with family and friends!  We’re heading into the final two weeks of the second quarter, both of which will be full weeks of attendance for students and staff.  Quarter two report cards will go home on Friday, January 21.

Covid-19 Testing Program for Students and Staff

There has been a surge in positive cases across Wake County and all students and staff are encouraged to sign up for the free weekly testing program.  Weekly testing will help us catch asymptomatic cases quickly and prevent the spread of illness. Signing up is easy and can be done at any point. Parents can sign their students up HERE

  • Testing Location: Gym
  • Testing Day: Monday (Tuesday if no school on Monday)
  • Time: Students @8:45 or as soon as they arrive (must report to classroom first)
  • What to Expect
    • Testing will occur weekly
    • Each person will be swabbed of both the lower nostrils, not too far up.
    • The swabs for six people will be placed into one tube to make a test pool.
    • The pool of 6 will be tested for the Covid-19 virus.
    • Each person will receive a text or email with their results.
    • If a pool is positive, each person in the pool will be retested when they arrive at school the following day.
