Principal Grigg's Weekly Message 4/11/2021

Baileywick’s 4/11/21 Message

Hello Bulldog Families!

We welcomed back several new students to in-person learning last week, and are looking forward to a stable last quarter of the school year.

Virtual Academy for 2021-22:  WCPSS announced plans to continue the VA across all grades in the upcoming school year.  A full-year commitment will be required.  More information about registration will come from the district and will also be posted on our website this week.

Attendance Letters: It is required that all schools send letters to the families of students with 6 or more absences.  Letters will be sent to families of students meeting this criteria on Monday, April 13.  We have already been in contact with the families of students for whom we have concerns about the impact of attendance on academic performance.  If you have questions about the letters, please reach out to Kendall Grigg, Tiffany Faison-Bullock, or Carol Mohn.

Quarter 4 Virtual Academy Materials: VA materials were distributed before spring vacation.  If you have not picked up materials for your VA student, you may pick them up between 8:30 and 3:00 in the front office.

End of Year Celebrations: This week, we are meeting as a leadership team with the PTA this week to make final decisions about Super Kids Day, the fifth grade moving up celebration and end of year class celebrations. Communication about all end of year events will be included in next week’s message.

APEX Fundraiser: What an awesome job our students (and you) did with our Apex virtual program! We thank you for all your efforts! We will be sharing how the money will be used in the next few weeks.

Kind regards,

Kendall Grigg, Tiffany Faison-Bullock, and Carol Mohn
