December 15, 2024 Mustang News

Mustang Families,

This will be the final Mustang News of 2024 as we will not have a Sunday message next weekend. Martin will be closed for the winter break beginning December 21st through January 5th. Note that this is a change to the original WCPSS calendar as the Board did change January 3rd from a school day to a workday. Students will return on January 6th.

Band Concert: Please join the Martin Band Department as they take the stage on Thursday, December 19th at 7pm for their winter concert and the final concert of the season. The students have worked hard all fall in preparation for what will be a wonderful show!

Congratulations: Congratulations to the members of the Orchestra Department on a fantastic concert! Each group sounded amazing on stage.

Congratulations: Congratulations to our Martin Cheerleaders and Ms. Hepburn for an outstanding performance on Friday at the Wake County Cheer Competition. The team turned in a deduction free performance and looked great on the mat!

Spring Musical Auditions: As a reminder, our Spring Musical auditions are this week. Contact Mr. Velarde (rvelarde@wcpss.net) with questions.

Thank you to everyone who has signed up to either send in holiday treats or volunteer to help with the event.  As a reminder, homemade or store-bought treats should be sent in on Wednesday, Dec. 18th during morning carpool.  There will be volunteers with carts collecting items.  If your child walks, rides the bus, etc. students can still bring items to the same area for drop off.

There are still some slots remaining.  If interested, please sign up here.
