June 9, 2024 Mustang News

Good evening Mustang Families. It is hard to believe we are starting the last week of the school year! We are working to wrap up EOGs with the makeup sessions scheduled and finalizing plans to celebrate the students. Wednesday, June 12th, is the final regular school day.

Thank you: The staff is grateful for the week of snacks, drinks and the Chick-fil-A breakfast last week. We love the refreshed space throughout the building.

Congratulations: Seventh grader Ly Mai placed 2nd in the Dr. Barbara Seniors Harkins Foundation Student Essay Contest. The theme of this year’s contest was “A whisper Through Time: Offering Advice to a Historical Figure of Public Figure” and Ly competed against students from across the country. Congratulations, Ly!

Preliminary EOG/EOC Scores: All students who took their end of grade/course tests on the originally scheduled test date received a preliminary score report on Friday showing proficiency. A more detailed report will be sent later in June, once all tests have been completed.

EOG/EOC Remediation/Retesting: Students who received a Not Proficient on their EOG/EOC and meet the criteria for remediation/retesting on June 13th and 14th have received an invitation to participate in retesting. We encourage all eligible for the program to take advantage of the opportunity.

Volunteer Renewal Process Opens July 1stFamilies who were approved to volunteer in the 2023-24 school year received an email on June 1 outlining the simple volunteer renewal process for the 2024-25 school year.
