June 2, 2024 Mustang News

Good evening Mustang Families. We have had a successful start to testing and want to remind families that on-time attendance is important every day, but especially during end of year testing. Please be certain students are on campus by 7:30 each day. On Monday, all 6th grade students will take the math EOG and 8th grade students will take the reading EOG.

Thank you: On behalf of the 8th grade students and teachers, thank you to all families who supported the 8th grade dance. The students had a wonderful time and looked fabulous!

Missing Assignments/Assessments: All missing assignments and assessments are due on Monday, June 3rd, to allow teachers time to grade prior to the end of the school year.

Art Garden Club: The Art Garden Club will hold its final meeting of the year on June 5th at 2:30. Ms. Bennett and Ms. Hagler have enjoyed working with the students after school this year and are looking forward to Wednesday’s meeting!

8th Grade End of Year Celebration: The 8th Grade team is planning a full day of celebration for students on June 12th. All families are invited to campus at noon for an afternoon of activities and community. Please see the linked letter for more details.

Yearbook Distribution: Yearbooks will be distributed at school on Tuesday, June 11th. There are still a few left to purchase and when they are gone, they are gone. If you would like to purchase a yearbook, follow this link: Martin Yearbook 2024

Contact Ms. Bricker (tbricker@wcpss.net) with any yearbook questions.

EOG/EOC Information Reminders: The schedule of EOGs and EOCs can be found on the MMS website calendar.

Parents are an important part of helping your student prepare for the end-of-year tests like the EOGs and EOCs every year. We've prepared a tip sheet in English and Spanish of ways you can support your student and MMS:

SUN Bucks: SUN Bucks is a program intended to provide grocery-buying benefits to children who lose access to Free- or Reduced-Price (FRP) school meals when school is out during the summer months. For more information and how to apply, visit SUNBucks

Clubs on Campus:

Wednesday: Art Garden Club from 2:30-3:30 in room 3005. Contact Ms. Bennett (mbennett3@wcpss.net) with questions.

Athletics: Rising 9th Graders: Fall sports begin in early August in high school and you must have current sports physicals and other documents uploaded to Dragonfly prior to the 1st practice.
