March 12, 2023 Mustang News

Happy Sunday, Mustang Families. If you have not yet turned your clocks forward one hour, remember to do so before you go to bed. Also, be a little more cautious coming to school in the morning as it will be darker for the next couple weeks due to the time change.

Mustang Madness: Mustang Madness Week is here! This is an exciting week on The Ranch where students can win lunchtime raffles each day as the excitement builds for the Main Event on Friday, March 17th! We hope everyone joins us for an evening where we showcase our students’ gifts and talents through performances, an art gallery and games and competitions. We hope to see all our families at the Main Event on Friday from 5:30-8pm!

Congratulations: Leyton Atkins, tenor sax, and Ankit Durbha, flute, auditioned and were selected for NC Honor Band. Leyton and Ankit spent the year preparing for the audition and competed against students from across the state for a chance to play in this band. The clinic and concert will be April 28-30.

Missing Assignments/Assessments: The end of the quarter is fast approaching and all missing assignments and assessments along with all assessments that are being resubmitted are due on Thursday, March 23rd. This gives teachers enough time to grade assignments and include them on 3rd quarter report cards. Students should check PowerSchool and with their teachers about work they should be submitting.

March Family Coffee: Mark your calendars for our March Martin Family Coffee. This month’s Coffee will be on March 21st and will be a virtual evening Coffee. We are partnering with the Poe Health Center for a parent presentation on vaping.
